Pick a new designer each day and let's discuss her. We can dish about products and character.

I'd like to talk about how one becomes a 'Super' scrapper - you know the ones that get tons of comments on every single layout. Six months ago, Super scrappers got 35-50 comments on their layouts, but today they are getting 60-90!

And I'm not here to complain about them or say they don't deserve it. The ladies that fall into this category ARE great scrappers.

But there has to be more to it than that. Truthfully, sometimes I see layouts that aren't wonderful but they still get 45+ comments. I'm convinced that in an anonymous gallery, many of these layouts wouldn't be getting so many comments.

So, here are some of the things I'm wondering about:

-Aside from being great scrappers, what other things cause one to get elevated to super Scrapper?

-Do some CT teams have private praise games in which team members praise one another's layouts at DST? This might explain why certain teams members consistently get tons of comments - often with praise coming in several days after the original post.

-Do you all seek certain people out to praise (ie. the popular scrappers)? Do you ignore lesser known scrappers? If so, why?

-I notice that certain CTs (CRD, Kim Desmet, Jofia, Milla, Natali, AH designs, Hollywood, Madame Min, PTM, etc.) have a large number of Superstar scrappers. Did the designer just pick a great CT or is it that the designer's products are so good that it leads to great scrapping?

-Another thing I've noticed in the communities is that certain geographical groups tend to support each other by leaving comments for one another. For example, there is a group of Spanish speaking scrappers at Scrapartist. And some of the most popular scrappers at DST are from Europe and specifically Eastern Europe. Do you think there are sub-groups of scrappers that support each other based on Country of origin?

I would love to discuss this issue sometime and hear everyone's opinions on this.

What an awful idea. You don't know the designer's character, how can you possibly discuss it?

I would hope that discussion product would be enough and not useless comments either, like it's fugly or crap or blah or whatever.

Nope. I cruise the galleries and praise what I like. There are so many great scrappers out there that just get missed or by passed and it really annoys me.

It's just one big butt kissing competition and I hate it.

How about starting a monthly post so we can comment and discuss what's going on?
